The History
Back around 1976, a few friends moved to the North San Juan Ridge in Northern California to start their humble solar beginnings. Sam Vanderhoof, Ron Kenedi, and John Hill partnered up to sell much needed supplies to those living off grid. Through their combined effort, knowledge expertise and desire to help their neighbors, their impact on the solar field expanded until they became the go-to place to go for solar.

Revolutionizing Solar
One day, Sam walked through the door of John's kerosene business with a small solar panel and John knew, this would change his business. The men cooperated in the business endeavor, and eventually, John opened Sierra Solar in Grass Valley, CA. Many years passed, and the men continued their friendship and advancing their careers in solar. In fact, Sam became the expert consultant in this field.

15 years ago, Kristina met Sam, John and then Ron. As the three men were nearing retirement, Kristina became engrossed in helping people with their solar systems.
