Switching from Negative to Positing Grounding for Older SunPower Systems

This video demonstrates the simple steps to change SMA transformer-based inverters from negative to positive grounding for older SunPower positive-grounded solar systems.

Step-by-Step Instructions

• Remove front cover
• In a negatively grounded SMA inverter, the GFDI fuse will be on the interior side, and the empty black cover will be on the exterior. Swap those two black components as shown in the video.
• Move the small black jumper one step, as shown in the video
• Reinstall front cover
